When people talk about “the environment”, it sometimes seems a little too amorphous. So let’s put it into real-world terms: This is the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the soil that grows our crops. Without any one of these things, we could no longer survive as a species. Right now, all three are facing a crisis like never before in history. It is our obligation to protect it, both for ourselves, and for those who come after us.
