2007 Municipal Endorsement Instructions
- Download the questionnaire for your office by clicking
here.
- Open the document, complete the questionnaire by inserting
your answers following each question.
- SAVE THE FILE.
- Send your file to iviipopac@yahoo.com no
later than Tuesday, January 2, 2007
- Your email should include ALL of your contact information:
phone number, email address and street address of your campaign
office.
- Contact the Chairperson of your session (name and contact
information is on the bright orange postcard mailed to your
home) no later than Tuesday, January 2, 2007 to schedule your
interview.
General Schedule for interview sessions:
Saturday, January 13: Wards 39, 40, 44, 46, 47, 48, 49 & 50
Sunday, January 14: Wards 4 & 5
Wednesday, January 17: Wards 2, 27 & 42
Saturday, January 20: Chicago Mayor, Clerk & Treasurer
Sunday, January 21: Wards 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, 15, 16, 20, 26, 30,
31, 32, 33 & 35
Monday, January 22: Ward 43
Other races, based upon location, January 13, 14, 17, 18, 22 and
23
The Interview
Candidates for each office are interviewed separately and consecutively
by IVI-IPO members residing in the affected electoral district.
Each candidate will make a brief presentation, followed by questions
from our members. The allowed time in your race will be determined
by the chair of your endorsement session.
You will be asked to bring hard copies of your completed questionnaire
to the interviewing session. The Chair of your session will tell
you how many copies to bring.
Prior to the final endorsement, completed questionnaires will
be available for review only by IVI-IPO members. Candidates, even
if they are members, will not be able to view their opponents'
responses until after the interviewing session. After an endorsement
has been made, completed questionnaires will be available for
review by members, candidates, the press or the public.
